Deer response to forest management (2014-2018)
Biophysical Characteristics and Mechanisms of Environmental Disturbances Influencing Human Access to Ecosystem Services in Boreal Alaska
Objectives: To quantify the relationships between Sitka black-tailed deer density and management of young growth forest on Chichigof Island in Southeast Alaska. We also quantified the volume of timber slash and snow accumulation/melt rates in recently treated stands of forest.
